Be knowledgeable about research, theory and practical aspects of embodiment, proprioception and interoception, and how to support students in experiencing a state of being grounded.
Description
Define embodiment, interoception, exteroception, proprioception, kinesthesia, grounding, and earthing. Explain why inner sensing and embodiment matter. Describe a general teaching approach to promote inner sensing. Provide asana and sequences to support an experience of grounding. Note the part of the breath cycle associated with grounding and provide breath practices to promote a sense of grounding. Offer supportive affirmations, imagery, guided meditations, music and a hand mudra.
