  • Features: Forward Bends, such as Tiriang Mukha Eka Pada Paschimottanasana (Three-Limbed Forward Bend), Ardha Baddha Padma Paschimottanasana (Half Bound Lotus Forward Bend), Sasangasana (Rabbit) and Yoga Mudrasana (Psychic Union)
  • Objective: Become knowledgeable about the pose and review detailed teaching considerations.

Tiriang Mukha Eka Pada Paschimottanasana

“tiriang” = three limbs

“mukha” = face

“eka” = one

“pada” = foot

“paschima” = western

“uttana” = intense stretch

Some sources use “Trianga” rather than “Tiriang”

Three-Limbed Forward Bend

Also known as: Three Limbs Facing One Foot Intense West Stretch Pose

Ardha Baddha Padma Paschimottanasana

“ardha” = half

“baddha” = bound

“padma” = lotus

“paschima” = western

“uttana” = intense stretch

Half Bound Lotus Forward Bend

Also known as:  Half Bound Lotus Western Intense Stretch Posture

Sasangasana

“sasanga” = having the marks of a hare

“sasaka” = rabbit

Rabbit Pose

Also known as:  Hare Pose

Yoga Mudrasana

“yoga” = awareness

“mudra” = seal

Psychic Union Pose
