Exchanging Thoughts for Feelings

This technique is from The Yapana Way.

  • Gently place hands at chest
  • Start breathing mindfully
  • Be aware of the present thought and exchange it for a feeling
  • Be with the feeling for as long as you can until another thought enters
  • Exchange the new thought with a feeling and continue
  • To complete, take 3 or 4 deep breaths
