Be familiar with differences in viewing the moon from the northern and southern hemispheres, plus the names for full moons throughout the calendar year and what is meant by supermoons and Blue Moons.
Description
Describe and discuss “supermoons.” Give two definitions of Blue Moon. Describe what is meant by a Harvest Moon. Provide names that have been given to each of the full moons (e.g. Strawberry Moon, Wolf Moon, etc). Explain how the view of the moon from the northern and southern hemispheres is the same and how it is different.
