List and discuss techniques that, when practiced during the day, can improve sleep quality at night. Provide techniques for nighttime, additional considerations for preparing the sleeping space, and finally, techniques for when in bed. Discuss leg cramps (charley horse, muscle spasm), restless legs syndrome (RLS), and sleep apnea. Cite research on the effectiveness of yoga and other techniques in inducing quality sleep. Discuss why and how helps with sleep. List poses and sequences for consideration. Provide resources for breathwork, meditation, music and more. List herbs, supplements and foods that are helpful for quality sleep.
