Be familiar with seizures and epilepsy, with drugs and their effects, and with research and considerations for providing support with yoga and other effective therapies.

Description

Define seizures and epilepsy, and types of seizures. Describe seizure symptoms, root causes, and potential triggers. Discuss seizure drugs and their effects. List therapies and evidence of effectiveness. Cite research on yoga’s impact on people who have experienced seizures. Note the type of yoga that is contraindicated for epilepsy and areas to take care with (such as avoiding overexertion). Provide yoga techniques and sequences for considerations.
