Objective

Be knowledgeable about postural issues such as thoracic mobility issues, hyperlordosis and kyphosis, and the vast variety of potential causal factors.

Description

Name 15 postural issues (many related) that students might exhibit. Explain the functional reason for limited mobility in the thoracic spine and potential consequences when the mobility limitation is exaggerated beyond a healthy norm. Define and discuss hyperlordosis, forward head, kyphosis, upper crossed syndrome, and lower crossed syndrome. (See also: Back & Spinal Conditions.)
