Discuss and define the terms, “wisdom keeper” and “indigenous.” Explain the significance of indigenous wisdom. Provide verifiable examples of the incomplete and manipulated presentation of history and the accumulated knowledgebase of human civilization, according to mainstream sources. Discuss common themes among wisdom teachings. List examples of cultures and traditions that have survived against the harsh odds they have faced. Discuss why it isn’t wise to disparage or discount entire cultures or vast time periods with sweeping judgments. Discuss social indoctrination. Provide considerations for exploring wisdom teachings.
